If you have read the latest newsletter from Gardeners’ World
Magazine, then you’ll know that we are offering the chance to win one of five Humble
Umbel collections, worth £75 each. We also want to give readers a special offer
so if you’d like to get gardening sooner then just enter GWM10 at checkout to
receive 10% off your next order.
The best flower borders contain not only colours that
complement each other, but a range of foliage types and flower shapes, from the
tall spires of plants like delphiniums and verbascums to the daisy-like flowers
of asters and echinacea.
Umbels are another important component. Their flowers are
made up of hundreds of individual florets held in flattened cloud-like discs,
giving them an architectural quality. They're some of the best flowers for
attracting hoverflies, bees and other insects to the summer and autumn garden.
Gardeners’ World have five 'Humble Umbel' plant collections
from Plants to Plant, each worth £75, available to win. Each collection
includes 15 plants in 9cm pots, including Selinum wallichianum
, Selinum
carvifolia
, Cenolophium denudatum
, Molopospermum peloponnesiacum,
Eryngium
bourgatii ‘Picos Amethyst’ and
Angelica sylvestris ‘Vicar’s Mead’.
If you’d like to enter then just head to their website - http://www.gardenersworld.com/win/win-a-humbel-umbel-plant-collection/370.html
