Eryngium eburneum 'Fromefield Rapier' is a very exotic and architectural looking South American sea holly which provides excellent bold form and texture to the garden. Eryngium eburneum 'Fromefield Rapier' has long narrow arching blade shaped leaves edged with very soft spines.In late spring it begins to form tall stems to 70cm which carry branching heads tipped with ball shaped clusters of white flowers. It is very easy to grow and prefers full sun with moist but well drained soil. It will tolerate periods of drought without harm. Hardy in all but the most severe parts of the UK. Eryngium eburneum 'Fromefield Rapier' is a smaller growing form of the species, reaching 70cm in height with a spread of 50cm. Discovered and named on our nurseries in 2018.
