For those of you that watched Gardeners’ World this weekend you will know that this week is National Gardening Week with the theme for this year’s gardening week focusing on plants for wildlife. During National Gardening Week and beyond the RHS is encouraging all gardeners to do all they can to support wildlife. By planting a broad diversity of plants gardeners can do a lot to encourage pollinating insects which, in turn, will bring in other forms of wildlife into their gardens such as birds and hedgehogs.
To make it a little easier for gardeners of all levels to get involved we have created a perfect for pollinators collection. The collection contains some of the best varieties of plants to attract pollinators to the garden, to brighten up even the most troublesome of gardens and to provide a colourful display throughout spring, summer and autumn.
Many of us will be aware of the decline in British insects over the past 50 years, so this collection will offer the perfect habitats for butterflies, moths, hoverflies and bees providing the sources of nectar and pollen that they need to survive. To celebrate National Gardening Week we are offering the collection at over 25%off, you can find out more here http://www.plantstoplant.com/perfect-for-pollinators-collection-6plant.htm#.UWrvjFebUgI
Alternatively, we’ve teamed up with Gardeners’ World to offer readers a great competition. Up for grabs we have the large ‘Perfect for Pollinators’ collection of plants, worth £75 each, for 5 winners – a total of £375!! To enter the competition just visit http://www.gardenersworld.com/win/
Hopefully the weather will shine and you can make the most of your gardens this week.
