Aquilegia 'Red Hobbit'
Aquilegia ‘Red Hobbit' is a compact version of the popular Aquilegia ‘Crimson Star'. This is a low-growing, bushy, clump-forming columbine that typically rises to only 30-40cm tall when in flower. Large, up facing, long-spurred, two-tone flowers with star-like, creamy white corollas and with crimson red sepals and spurs. Bushy yellow stamens add a third colour. It flowers in late spring. The almost fern-like, basal green foliage with a bluish tinge is somewhat suggestive of Thalictrum.
Aquilegia vulgaris 'Dorothy Rose'
Aquilegia vulgaris 'Dorothy Rose', has exquisite rose-pink double flowers that are displayed high above glaucous blue-green foliage. The unique hose-in-hose style blooms look like several flowers set inside of each other, resembling a ruffled dress.
Aquilegia vulgaris 'Nora Barlow'
Aquilegia vulgaris 'Nora Barlow' is an erect plant to 80cm, with divided, pale blue-green leaves and nodding, spurless, double flowers 2-3cm wide, composed of many narrow, pink petals. This popular herbaceous perennial will tolerate any half decent soil. Grows in full sun to around 80cm tall.
Aquilegia chrysantha 'Yellow Queen'
Aquilegia 'Yellow Queen' is a strong growing herbaceous perennial with green-blue divided foliage and large deep yellow flowers on upright stems from late spring until early summer.
Aquilegia vulgaris plena ‘Ruby Port'
This lovely Aquilegia produces fabulous deep burgundy - brown red flowers , which will be the talking point of your neighbours. The dainty double flowers will come back to grace your garden year after year. Popular for its late spring and early summer burgundy flowers, 'Ruby Port' makes an effective contrast with white alliums and other aquilegias. It likes moist but free-draining soil in sun and partial shade where it will self-seed happily. Height up to 90cm.
Aquilegia caerulea ‘Blue Star'
Aquilegia caerulea ‘Blue Star' Columbine features large, blue flowers with a white corolla. The foliage is also very special with its fancy-lobed, dusky blue-green leaves.
